Over the last few years we have helped our College Client Dallas Christian College, improve its hybrid classroom and Flex Campus Technology, to make it easier to engage and change the way students collaborate and learn. We started the upgrades in the Fall of 2020 with Covid still looming we needed to help the college improve their camera's and interactive learning. In 2021, we have begun a 6 Classroom project with upgrading several classrooms and the original 2 classrooms we helped them with almost 11 years ago.
The new classroom design, brings new screens for the students to see their classmates or additional speakers online, upgrading interactive displays and control of where content is displayed, including a display in the back of the classroom to give them a confidence monitor to view what they want. We are also upgrading the camera's in these 6 classrooms to have HuddleHD SimpleTrack 2 tracking camera's to follow the professors or speakers as they move around the front of the room. For the students online there is an improved HuddleHD PTZ camera with 10x zoom to cover the students in the classroom.
The video distribution system is a state of the Art system with a touch interactive control that will be on the podiums or Ergotron desks in the newly equipped rooms to help standardize and ensure the professors can easily control the video in the room.
Most of the classrooms, have either a Bluetooth enabled white board with a laser projector, a Qomo Interactive White Board with a laser projector or a Interactive touch display from 55" to 86" diagonal screens. The latest is the new Qomo BundleBoard.
All of this to say, this small Christian College, will now have the most advanced classrooms in the world as we continue to work with them and how we improve the engagement for students, both online and in the Classroom, as well as keeping it simple for the professors to manage their classes and focus on teaching the next generation of graduates in their respective fields. As we work to complete this project we will keep you informed as to how the students, faculty and parents see the new technology and its benefits to learning.
